Atlantic County Utilities Authority is committed to procuring necessary goods and services through a competitive process in which a large number of qualified vendors can participate. ACUA in its purchasing procedures conforms to all State laws, (NJSA 40A:11-et seq) which govern purchasing for local governments and authorities in New Jersey.

Bid requests are always published in The Press of Atlantic City and in some instances may be published elsewhere as well.  The Atlantic County Utilities is exempt from the New Jersey Sales and Use Tax and in most cases products and services that are purchased to fulfill a contract with the Authority are also tax exempt.  ACUA has implemented a Bid portal where bid documents are available for download.
