Recycling Drop-Offs

Residents of Atlantic County may dispose of single-stream recycling materials, bulky rigid plastics, and shredded paper at the Recycling Drop-Offs located at our Environmental Park (the first left before the scalehouse - see map below) during regular Solid Waste Operations hoursItems must be individually off-loaded. 

Single-Stream Recycling

Atlantic County residents can dispose of single-stream recycling materials in the designated single-stream container.   Click here to review a list of accepted items. 

Shredded Paper

Shredded paper is no longer accepted in the curbside recycling program, but it can be taken to our facility for disposal. Shredded paper can be disposed of in a paper (clean/no wax coating) or clear plastic bag in the designated dumpster.

Bulky Rigid Plastics

For Atlantic County residents only. Rigid plastics must be disposed of in the container labeled "Rigid Plastic Recycling Drop-Off." 

Large businesses, municipalities or schools with large quantities should call ahead to make drop-off arrangements. Municipalities that do not have a recycling contract with the ACUA must proceed to the scalehouse and will be charged a tipping fee of $35 per ton.
