Atlantic County Utilities Authority To Host Massive Recycling and Biomass Demonstration Event at Compost Facility

The demonstration will be held rain or shine

Egg Harbor Township, NJ – Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) will host a free event at its compost facility on Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township for interested public and private sector officials to see and operate the latest technologies in recycling and forestry equipment. 

Who: Vermeer Corporation, located in Pella, IA, has been manufacturing specialized construction equipment for over 65 years and is uniquely positioned as the only American manufacturer to offer a complete line-up of equipment for the recycling and biomass industry. The factory is buttressed by a strong dealership network that literally spans the globe with strong local customer support offering parts, service, sales and rentals.

What: Vermeer will be demonstrating a variety of equipment including horizontal grinders, track machines as well as an electric unit, straddle and tow behind compost turners, trommel screens, a whole tree chipper and a forestry mulcher.  The equipment will be demonstrated following a daily schedule that will allow attendees to see each piece of equipment.

When: The event will take place Wednesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 23rd from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. The demonstration will be held rain or shine.

Where: The Atlantic County Utilities Authorities Compost Facility at 6700 Delilah Rd in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Why: This hands-on format is a great way to test and operate the equipment. Factory engineers and specialists will also be on-site to answer questions. This event also offers the seldom-seen opportunity to compare machines side-by-side.
