ACUA extends hours for disposal and announces changes to regularly scheduled collections due to storm

Due to Saturday morning’s storms, the Atlantic County Utilities Authority is extending its hours of operation to accept yard waste for disposal today, Monday, July 2 and tomorrow, July 3.

Yard waste will be accepted both of these days until 8 pm.

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority’s Solid Waste Facilities, located at 6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township are open until 4 pm to accept all other waste and debris.

For the July 4th holiday, ACUA is open from 7 am – 1 pm for all types of waste disposal.

In addition, regularly scheduled collections for Saturday, June 30, 2012 in the following towns have been moved to Monday, July 2, 2012.

ACUA will be working in each of the towns listed below until all material has been collected.

* Northfield Yard Waste - Section B will be collected on Monday July 2

* Linwood Yard Waste - will be started on Monday July 2 and collections will take place during the week until completed

* Hamilton Township Yard Waste - will be moved to Monday July 2

* Ocean City Recycling - will be moved to Monday July 2

ACUA’s collection staff may need to return to your residence multiple times in our efforts to collect yard waste placed curbside. If our staff has stopped at your residence, but additional debris remains to be collected, please understand that they will return, and will continue making the rounds until debris is collected. Thank you for your patience and consideration.
