A New York production company based in Manhattan set up at ACUA’s Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station on Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township on Wednesday, June 1 to get footage for America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA). ANGA is creating ads showing trucks and buses that currently use natural gas as a vehicle fuel. One of ACUA’s newest CNG collection vehicles was prepped with ANGA’s graphic “Fueled by clean American natural gas” and filmed driving, entering, fueling and leaving the CNG station, with ACUA’s Pat Broecker making his acting debut, skillfully and patiently maneuvering the truck.
Beginning a year ago, ACUA began transitioning its fleet of collection trucks to CNG to save money and reduce emissions with this domestically produced fuel, and welcomed the opportunity to help ANGA promote natural gas, in particular for fueling large, heavy, busy truck and bus fleets. Converting just one trash truck from diesel to natural gas is the pollution reduction equivalent of taking 325 cars off the road.
ACUA’s truck and capable driver completed the shoot in Wayne NJ on Thursday, June 2, which will also feature a local NJ Transit bus. Thanks go out to staff involved, the considerate production crew and the Atlantic City Jitney drivers for their cooperation during the filming.
