School Recycling Grant Application

Recycling is one of the easiest ways we can help the planet, but many schools struggle to sustain successful programs. What would it take to make recycling work better in your school? The Atlantic County Utilities Authority is offering up to $1,000 to support a project that will help improve school recycling. Examples of ideas can include indoor recycling containers, clear signage, education materials, etc.

Applicants should explain how their idea will motivate students and staff to recycle and improve the quality and quantity of material collected.

  • Project must be completed in an Atlantic County school serviced by ACUA.
  • Project must be related to improving recycling in a school.
  • Project must be doable and include a clear timeline for completion.
  • The winner will be required to report on the status of their project and achievements.
  • In addition to the form below, a letter of support from the school principal must be submitted to be eligible. Please email letter to ACUA's Authority Relations department at

*All schools applying for the grant are eligible to receive a school recycling audit and educational presentation from ACUA.
