Lefke is Senior Vice President of the Atlantic County Utilities Authority Solid Waste
Division, a position he has held since July 2009. Lefke oversees all
operations within the Solid Waste Division, which includes ACUA’s
state-of-the-art landfill, recycling center, transfer station, compost
facility, and collections department that serves more than 100,000 homes and
businesses. He is responsible for overseeing all administrative duties within
the division as well as EcoProduct marketing and solid waste enforcement
throughout Atlantic County.
also serves as the Authority Board Secretary and is responsible for
administrating the business and activities of ACUA’s Board of Commissioners.
assuming his current responsibilities, Lefke served as the Director of
Solid Waste Operations for 17
years. Before joining ACUA, Lefke served in various management roles
at the Atlantic County Planning Department and as the acting Executive Director
of the Atlantic County Transportation Authority.
serves on the Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees and was its Board
Chairman from 2005 to 2007. He is a member of the Association of New Jersey
Recyclers and has previously served on its executive committee. He is a former
member of the New Jersey Pinelands Commission and the Somers Point Planning
holds a Master of Science in Administrative Science from Farleigh Dickinson
University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Stockton
University (formerly Richard Stockton College of New Jersey).
He resides in
Somers Point with his wife Ellen and daughter Kate.
