09:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Linwood Public Works Building
550 Hamilton Avenue, Linwood

The public is welcome to participate in this annual cleanup of Patcong Creek!

The 14th Annual Patcong Creek Cleanup will be bigger and better than ever. For the fourth year, the Somers Point Green Team and the Patcong Creek Foundation Inc. are partnering with the Linwood Environmental Commission for this event.

Cleanup sites and launches include: Somers Point-Mays Landing Road, Ocean Heights Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, and Poplar Avenue. Supplies will be provided (i.e. t-shirts, bags, gloves, pickers, etc.) by ACUA. Bring your canoes or kayaks to head out into the creek or help out on land to clean up the banks of the Patcong Creek. The Patcong Creek Foundation Inc. will provide boats to act as trash barges for the kayaks to unload full trash bags and to ferry land bound volunteers from place to place along the marsh. The Paddle Shack at Ocean Heights Avenue & Patcong Creek will once again offer the use of free kayaks for the event, all you need to do is pre-register.
